Our Mission: Helping the Body Heal Naturally

Myself and my husband, John, are on a mission to inspire and empower lasting change through education and natural, science-backed solutions—not medications.

We believe true transformation begins with understanding the body and giving it the tools it needs to heal, restore balance, and thrive. Through nutrition, movement, lifestyle guidance, and compassionate coaching, we help you create sustainable changes that align with your goals, your body, and your life.

This journey is about renewal—one step at a time.

As awareness grows, confidence follows. Empowerment means equipping you with the knowledge and freedom to make healthy choices independently—physically, emotionally, and mentally.

We strive to live the balance we teach and to lead by example. Our hope is to support, encourage, and inspire a healthier, more energetic, and joyful version of you.

We are honored to walk this journey with you.

A shared mission, a shared heart, and a shared commitment to helping others heal and thrive.

Meet Monica

I call Colorado home—a place I fell in love with for its breathtaking beauty and for the space it gave me to heal, grow, and reconnect with myself.

I’m the proud mother of four incredible children—three I brought into this world, and one I gained as a stepmother, whom I feel deeply blessed to have. I also proudly hold my Canadian citizenship while living as a permanent resident of the United States. Both countries have shaped who I am, and I carry the richness of each with me every day.

For 30 years, I have educated people on eating clean, staying active, and incorporating exercise as the foundation of good health. While those principles matter, I watched the same cycle repeat itself: people would succeed for a short time, then fall off track. Dieting wasn’t sustainable. It relied on restriction, deprivation, and willpower—and eventually, it failed.

Then life humbled me.

In the same month my divorce was finalized, I lost my beautiful mother to cancer. Despite holding certifications as a metabolic health coach for over 25 years, I found myself struggling—emotionally eating, cycling through diets, battling depression, and experiencing weight gain for the first time in my life.

That moment changed everything.

Determined to understand what was truly happening—not just for my clients, but for myself—I immersed myself in the science of insulin resistance and metabolic health. What I discovered was transformative. Understanding insulin changed my health, my relationship with food, and my ability to create lasting results—for myself and for others.

Learning from leading metabolic health experts like Dr. Ben Bikman and Dr. Jason Fung, I realized the problem was never a lack of discipline. It was biology.

So many struggles—prediabetes, weight gain, fatigue—are not personal failures. They are the result of a complex interplay of our modern food environment (especially lack of fiber), lifestyle demands, chronic stress, genetics, and metabolic dysfunction.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and 2024–2025 public health summaries, an estimated 98 million U.S. adults are currently living with prediabetes—more than 1 in 3 adults in the United States.
Globally, the scale is even more striking. As of 2024, approximately 487.7 million adults worldwide were living with impaired fasting glucose (IFG), a primary marker of prediabetes.

This is not an individual problem—it is a collective metabolic health crisis.

That is why my mission today is different. I’m honored to share this mission with my beautiful husband, John, who has joined me in helping others heal and reclaim their health.

Together, we focus on education, metabolic healing, sustainable nutrition, movement, and lifestyle support—helping people understand their bodies so they can finally work with them, not against them. No deprivation. No shame. No endless dieting cycles.

We believe true empowerment comes from knowledge, compassion, and support—and we would be honored to walk this journey with you.

We truly look forward to meeting you and beginning this next chapter together. ♥

Meet John

As a Tech Program Manager by profession, a Metabolic Health Advocate by mission, and a straight-talker by nature, I bring systems thinking, lived experience, and deep personal purpose into a mission-critical space.

After more than 25 years leading large-scale programs across the tech and aerospace sectors, I made a bold decision to pivot both my career and my life toward a mission that hit far closer to home: helping people—myself included—reclaim their health before it’s too late.

I’ve battled heart disease, obesity, addiction, insulin resistance, neuropathy, and chronic inflammation. I know the shame. The setbacks. The exhaustion of starting over again and again. But in 2025, I stopped spinning my wheels. I embraced the Feel Great System, lost 30 pounds, and began reversing damage that had quietly accumulated over decades.

Today, I combine my background in program and change management with real-world metabolic health advocacy to help others cut through the noise, silence the shame, and rebuild lasting vitality.

Why I’m Here

Because the global metabolic health crisis is growing at an alarming rate.
Because heart disease, prediabetes, obesity, and chronic inflammation now touch nearly every family on the planet.
Because this work is deeply personal.

My father and brother lived with diabetes. My father battled congestive heart failure. My sister-in-law struggled with obesity and died from related complications. I’ve walked the tightrope of addiction myself for many years.

And because I believe that straight talk, sound strategy, and real community can change lives.

What I Believe

I believe people don’t need more gimmicks.

They need tools that actually work.
They need genuine compassion and real support.
They need guidance from someone who’s been in the trenches—and isn’t afraid to talk about it.

Together with Monica

Today, I’m proud to lead this work alongside my wife and business partner, Monica—a seasoned metabolic wellness educator and coach with a global community of over 100,000 people.

At MoJoGetFit, we’re not just building a community—we’re creating a movement rooted in truth, action, and transformation.

We’re here because the problem is urgent.
The need is universal.
And the opportunity for change has never been greater.

Let’s talk.
Let’s learn.
Let’s change—together.

John
